It’s been a while since I last did a Friday Five, but this set of questions grabbed my attention so I thought I’d take some time to answer them!
I love travelling; unfortunately we haven’t managed to get away for over a year because we’ve been so busy with the business, but I’m hoping we can get a holiday in at some point!
1. After your first language, what language would you most like to learn? (Say first language too)
My first language is English, and I’ve tried learning a few languages over the years, with mixed success! I did German in school for a few years, so that’s probably my strongest second language but still fairly basic.
I did try to learn Ukrainian on Duolingo when we went a couple of years ago, but pretty much the only thing I remember is “honey”, which is pretty useless XD
2. Does your country have a second language? What is it?
I don’t think it does! Welsh is an official language in Wales (unsurprisingly!) though.
3. How many languages can you count to 5 in? To 10 in? List them.
Maybe three? Wow, that’s not very good is it?!
4. What is the first overseas country you visited? And from where? (i.e. Timbuctoo to mMrs)
Germany, from England. I was seven and my dad took me to visit family. And I wasn’t one of those annoying kids that kick the back of the chair on the plane either!!
5. What country do you most want to visit? And why?
The Maldives has been on my bucket list for a long time, and I’d also like to do a safari, maybe in South Africa or somewhere like that! I’d also love to visit Canada, Australia and Japan. Guess that’ll keep me busy for a while! 😉
What’s on your travel bucket list? Let me know in the comments!
