This week’s Friday Five is all about food! One of my favourite topics 😉
1. Do you mostly prepare your meals at home or do you eat out more?
At the moment it’s kind of a mix of both. When I worked in an office, I’d often have two meals a day at a restaurant, an event, or just generally out, but now I spend a lot more time at home so I’m cooking and eating at home a lot more. I’d like to have every meal at home to be honest, because we eat out and get takeaways way too much, but we’re working on it!
2. Is there a time of day when you are more likely to buy food already prepared?
Probably dinner time at the moment to be honest. It used to be lunchtime, but now we’re spending less time in the city we’re more likely to head for the fridge or cupboard.
3. What is your average weekly grocery bill (for how many people)? What is your total restaurant/fast food bill for an average week?
Good question! I think we currently spend around £100 for two of us plus four cats. Restaurant/fast food bill I’d say is around the £60 mark. That’s a lot of money on food!
4. What is your favorite meal to prepare at home?
I’m not a huge fan of cooking; Joe does almost all the cooking, particularly evening meals. I tend to do the baking in the house. I’d say my favourite meal to prepare is probably cheesy pasta or homemade pizza and wedges, because they’re quick and easy but filling!
5. What is your favorite meal to order in a restaurant?
It totally depends on the restaurant. At the moment I’m on a big Wagamamas kick, so I tend to order warm chicken salad with crispy squid on the side. It’s full of colour and flavour and tastes amazing!
Good thing I had lunch before doing this Friday Five haha! Over to you – what are your answers? 🙂
