Fading Links
1. Click here and download the file (click 'Save' when the box comes up).
2. Now find where you uploaded it to your PC, right click and press 'Edit'. It won't open if you try to open it any other way. Scroll down a little way, and find the part which says

startColor = "#000000"; // initial link color
endColor = "#ffffff"; // final link color

3. The colour #000000 is black, which is what your link will become immediately when you hover over it. The black will gradually fade to #ffffff which is white. If you don't want it to fade from black to white, delete those hex codes and add your own. Remember not to delete or change anything else by accident!! Now click the 'X' in the top right corner of the file, and when the prompt box comes up click 'Ok' to save the changes.
4. Upload the file to your web site, then paste the following code into the HEAD tag of your page:
5. Save the page. Hover over this link to see my final effect. If you want the same colours I used, I started with #E62E84 and my end colour was #FCD2E7.
